Intensive Outpatient Program at Aviv Recovery

Recovery is a season of renewal—a chance to break free from the past and embrace a healthier, brighter future. Just as spring breathes life into the world after the chill of winter, the journey to recovery offers a fresh start, providing opportunities to heal, grow, and regain control.

At Aviv Recovery we guide individuals through this transformative process with our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Our program offers the structure, support, and care needed to foster lasting change.

For those looking to overcome addiction while managing their daily responsibilities, IOP serves as a bridge between intensive inpatient treatment and independent living. It enables clients to receive high-quality, evidence-based care while remaining connected to their families, careers, and communities. Through personalized treatment plans and a compassionate, supportive environment, Aviv Recovery empowers individuals to embrace renewal and create a future filled with hope and possibility.

What is an IOP?

Intensive Outpatient Programs provide a structured and supportive environment for individuals recovering from substance use disorders. Unlike inpatient or residential programs that require individuals to live on-site, IOP offers flexibility and freedom while still delivering comprehensive treatment.

At Aviv Recovery, our IOP combines individual therapy, group counseling, and skill-building sessions. This allows clients to explore the underlying causes of their addiction, develop effective coping strategies, and establish a strong foundation for long-term sobriety.

Personalized Care

The Role of IOP in the Recovery Journey

IOP plays a critical role in the continuum of care, offering a level of support that bridges the gap between residential treatment and full reintegration into daily life. For many individuals, transitioning from an inpatient setting to independent living can feel overwhelming. IOP provides structured support and accountability, ensuring that clients have the tools they need to navigate the challenges of early recovery.

IOP offers the perfect balance of structure and flexibility, allowing clients to participate in regular therapy sessions while maintaining work, school, and family commitments. This model of care is ideal for individuals who:

  • Have completed residential or inpatient treatment and are ready to transition to a lower level of care.
  • Require ongoing support but cannot commit to a full-time residential program.
  • Need structured care to reinforce healthy habits and prevent relapse.

Addiction often leaves individuals feeling disconnected from their emotions and unable to manage stress in a healthy way. Through evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), clients in our IOP learn to identify triggers, develop coping strategies, and build emotional resilience.

One of the primary goals of IOP is to equip clients with relapse prevention skills that promote long-term sobriety. By addressing the psychological, emotional, and social aspects of addiction, IOP helps individuals recognize early warning signs and implement strategies to maintain their progress.

We Are Your Partner in Renewal

At Aviv Recovery, we view recovery as a season of transformation and renewal. Just as spring brings new life to the earth, our IOP offers individuals the opportunity to break free from addiction and step into a future filled with hope, growth, and strength. Our approach to IOP is grounded in compassion, clinical excellence, and a deep commitment to helping clients achieve lasting success.

We Can Help

The Need for Addiction Treatment in Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach, known for its stunning coastline, vibrant culture, and welcoming community, is a place where many seek refuge and renewal. However, like many other communities across the nation, Virginia Beach has been deeply affected by the opioid crisis and rising rates of substance abuse.

Opioid & Substance Use Epidemic

The opioid epidemic continues to devastate communities across Virginia. According to the Virginia Department of Health, opioid-related overdose deaths have increased significantly in recent years, with Virginia Beach experiencing a concerning share of these cases. The availability of prescription opioids, combined with the growing presence of fentanyl, has contributed to the rise in overdose fatalities.

Alcohol Abuse and Other Substances

While opioids often dominate headlines, alcohol abuse remains a pervasive issue in Virginia Beach. Many individuals struggling with alcohol dependence experience health complications, legal issues, and relationship challenges, underscoring the need for accessible and effective addiction treatment programs.

A Growing Need for Accessible Care

The demand for high-quality addiction treatment has never been greater. However, many individuals hesitate to seek help due to the perceived disruption to their daily lives. IOP addresses this gap by offering flexible, evidence-based care that fits into the realities of clients’ everyday responsibilities.
